It's offered to your attention the color photo postcard of the 12-th Soviet cosmonaut
Georgi Beregovoi.
The photo postcard is signed by Georgi Beregovoi on both front and back sides. The signature on
the front side is a bit blotted (please see the scan) and on the back side - very clean and sharp.

Georgi Beregovoi was born on April 15, 1921 in village Fedorovka, Poltava Region, Ukraine. In 1941 he
finished the Military Aviation School of Kharkov Military District. During the war he was the pilot and
made 185 flights during the war. He continued his education at the Commander High Military Academy in
Monino, Moscow Region.
On January 25, 1964, Georgi Beregovoi was added to the Group of Cosmonauts Training Center of Air Forces.
And on October 26, 1968 he performed the flight on board of SOYUZ-3. SOYUZ-3 was the first successful
piloted SOYUZ mission after SOYUZ-1 unlucky mission and SOYUZ-2 automatic mission. Georgi Beregovoi
tried to dock to SOYUZ-2 but confused the top and the bottom of the space ship and his manual
manipulations were unlucky. He spent all the fuel for these maneuvers and had not understand the
mistake... But people thought that the mission was successfully completed....
For this flight he was awarded the highest award of USSR - Hero of USSR Star.
After the flight he was involved mostly into public and representative activities and continued to work
as the cosmonaut-instructor.
