It's offered to your attention the last elaboration radiation monitor RADEX RD1706 - the most improved model in the new line of reliable instruments for radiation detection designed by Russian nuclear engineers for household consumers who have knowledge of dosimetry at a common level and wish or enforced to use dosimeters. Besides its light weight and pocket size there are some more incomparable advantages of this unit:
- Designed for measuring ambient dose capacity rate equivalent estimate of gamma rays indors and outdors.
- Detects ionizing radiation and beta-fissile radionuclides pollution of materials and objects.
- Easy to operate, no special dosimetry skills needed.
- Contains SBM20-1 type beta-gamma Geiger-Muller counter which is used in professional dosimetric equipment.
- Has a great number of individual settings (measure units, beep and volume adjustment, display illumination mode etc).
- Uses 2 regular AAA batteries widely spread worldwide.
- Displays all settings, measure results, warnings and battery indicator on 1x1.7" (26x44 mm) screen.
- Meets the requirements of worldwide dosimetry standards and strong Russian standards.
- Menu, operating manual and technical certificate in English.
DIMENSIONS - 4x2.3x01" (105x60x26 mm).
SCREEN - 1x1.7" (26x44 mm).

Important improvements of RADEX RD1706 from the basic model RADEX RD1503:
- Ability to register gamma, beta and x-ray radiation;
- Range of indications is expanded in 100 times (up to 999,0 µSv/h);
- Time of observation is reduced from 1 to 26 sec or even faster if the value of a dose rate is higher.
- Improved precision of indications;
- Applied two SBM20-1 type Gejgera – Muller counters;
- Presence of vibra-call signal;
- Applied «BACKGROUND» mode for performing inspections inside premises;
- Displaying indications only in µSv/h;

* The increase in cycles of calculation conducts to increase of reliability of indications. ** Two batteries with a capacity 1350ÌAh, at a level of a natural background no more than 0,3 µSv/h and with factory settings. |
RADEX RD1706 can operate in "BACKGROUND" mode where the dose capacity estimate is carried out, but the display shows not just one reading of a dose capacity, but two - exceeding of a dose capacity above a background dose capacity and a background dose capacity simultaneously. This mode is convenient for inspection of locations when it is necessary to know the difference between indoor and outdoor readings and to define correctly an outdoor dose capacity.
